The non-invasive injectable cosmetic treatment of Botulinum toxin, commercially known as Botox/Xeomin/Dysport/Nuceiva, is currently one of the most in-demand anti-ageing procedures sought by many. Get ahead in your career by taking APT’s comprehensive Foundation Toxin Training in Toronto. Learn the latest techniques to safely and effectively administer toxin injections and dermal fillers with our comprehensive toxin training for physicians and nurses.
APT’s Foundation Toxin Training in Toronto is a one day foundation training for medical professionals who wish to move forward with their professional careers or work their way towards obtaining a higher independent qualification, an internationally recognized International Certificate in the Principles and Practice of Clinical Injectable Therapies (Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers).
While most professionals choose to pair their toxin training with dermal filler training and take the Foundation Toxin and Dermal Filler Training course, you can also split this into two individual days and take one day toxin training and at a later date, one day dermal filler training or vice versa.
Here’s what makes our toxin training for physicians and nurses a cut above the rest.
Foundation Toxin Training Toronto begins with intensive pre course materials that cover all the theoretical aspects of toxins and dermal fillers. This university level pre course material prepares you for the intensive hands on portion of the course to follow. The hands on portion of the training to follow will begin with a brief lecture in the morning to ensure an understanding of ideal beauty concepts and ideal facial features; facial anatomy and muscle physiology, and benefits and risks associated with receiving Botox injections.
In addition to the theoretical, students will also be given an opportunity to experience a practical demonstration of how a toxin injection is administered expertly by one of our trainers. This cosmetic physician and nurse course will focus on facial injections in both the upper and lower face.

The downside of attending other courses with bigger class sizes is because there are so many attendees, there’s a real possibility that the attendees will not have enough injection time with each model. In addition, the instructor won’t be able to accommodate all the questions from the class or more importantly, personally oversee each student’s individual learning progress. Larger group sizes makes asking questions or voicing concerns more difficult. Most importantly, a ratio of more than 2:1 means you won’t have enough hands on injection experience to feel competent to do injections when you leave the course.
With APT’s Foundation Toxin Training in Toronto, we have a personalized approach that strictly maintains a maximum of 2:1 ratio for trainees and trainers. A more intimate class guarantees that you have your instructor’s undivided attention, feel free to ask questions and get the most out of your toxin training for physicians and nurses. Have more time doing hands-on training and learning advanced techniques in performing injectable cosmetic treatments is critically important.
Toxin Training in Toronto is spearheaded by APT Founder and Lead Practitioner Patricia Pezzano, BSc, BSc (NANS), RPN. She has over 20 years’ worth of rich, in-depth knowledge and professional experience of both toxin and dermal fillers and can pair this extensive theory base with clinical expertise to provide a one-of-a-kind Botox training for physicians and nurses.
Foundation Toxin Training in Toronto is the perfect professional advancement course for all medical professionals— including doctors, nurses, and nurse practitioners — who would like to become experts in performing toxin injections.
APT Toxin Training courses are available for people from all over the country and other parts of the world. We provide flexible training dates for you to choose from. This allows you to plan ahead and clear your work and social schedule beforehand.
We even offer an Online Training Toxin and Dermal Filler Module, which gives you the chance to delve into all the theoretical part of Botox injections and AUDIT a 2-day toxin and dermal filler course before committing to do the actual hands-on training.
APT Injection Training has a wide selection of courses dedicated to facial rejuvenation. Aside from strictly toxin training in Toronto, we also offer the following:
A 2-day training course intended for registered medical professionals. It combines critical theoretical pre course learning, practical demonstration of procedures, and extensive hands-on training on live models. It is a stand alone course that is the minimum required to begin practising toxin and dermal filler treatments. It can also be used as credit toward the more intensive, internationally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.
APT Injection Training is the only toxin training centre in North America to offer true third-party certification through our UK partner, MATA training and OTHM, an internationally recognized awarding body. OTHM, a globally recognized awarding organization, is regulated by the Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) and recognized by Qualifications Wales. This means that you are able to apply the experience you have gained in our courses toward an internationally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies. The international certification involves completion of extensive , university level pre course work (representing 230 UK CME), 3 days of intensive training, completion of a logbook and short answer questions that are all independently assessed by OTHM who then awards the certification. This is true certification. Other courses that “ certify” are really doing it only to their standards, not independently developed and assessed standards. APT Injection Training has been independently assessed, including our processes, training materials, and other related matters and certified by a recognized independent organization. This is a valuable endorsement that promotes the level of expertise and quality that you can expect from our Botox Training in Toronto course and its instructors.
Learn an alternative way to administer dermal fillers on clients via the cannula technique. This 1-day course training will go over similar topics in the Basic Filler Training Course, include the same pre course reading material, employs the same 2:1 trainee :trainer ratio with approximately 7-8 live models but the hands-on training will involve the use of cannulas instead of needles.
This is the next step after Foundation Basic Filler Injection and the Lower Face Cannula Training Program. It’s a 1-day training course that introduces cannula injections and focuses more on advanced treatment areas, such as the temples and tear troughs. It includes pre course reading material, employs the same 2:1 trainee :trainer ratio with approximately 7-8 live models for hands on injections. This is highly recommended for professionals with prior experience of injecting at least 50 patients before taking this course as the adverse events in the temples and tear troughs can be severe and permanent.
A comprehensive 1-day hands-on training on live models and lecture covering the latest types of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for lip enhancement. It goes in-depth on dermal fillers (history, FDA approval, and mechanism of action), establishing client expectations, recognizing contraindications, potential risks including the use of hyaluronidase and emergency procedure. The focus is on different types of lip injections to achieve volume, definition, support and contour but most importantly to obtain natural looking, proportional lips that clients will love.

This course will help you do that by educating you on the core laser technology, so you understand the individual machine nuances as they are trialled in your business. The objective is to enable practitioners to succinctly assess the different laser machines on the market to help you choose the right machine for your practice.
An intensive 1-day training course for dentists who seek to add neurotoxin injection and lip filler services to their current scope of practice.
