When you take our cosmetic injection courses for Calgary nurses, you will be exposed to in-depth theoretical and practical teachings based on the latest available technology and scientific advancements in Botox treatment techniques. These courses are specifically designed for registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and practical nurses. However, we also have other Botox training programs for licensed medical professionals interested in expanding their practice and client base.
APT has seen countless students forge their own career as professional cosmetic injectors and credit a significant portion of their success to the high-quality education they received from our training programs. Despite being in the business for decades, we are proud that our commitment to excellence has never wavered and has only continued to grow stronger.
Here are some of the reasons why our Botox training for Calgary nurses stands out from the rest:
At APT, we limit each class to two students per one instructor to ensure everyone receives
the most personalized teaching experience. This method allows the students to immerse themselves in mastering cosmetic injectable therapies fully and have complete access to all the learning support they need. They have their instructor’s full attention, carefully guiding them every step of the way and monitoring their learning progress.
This intimate learning experience is also implemented during the hands-on training sessions of our cosmetic injection courses for Calgary nurses. Each student gets several hours focused on practicing and perfecting their injection skills.
Our cosmetic injection courses for Calgary nurses are facilitated by our Head of Faculty and APT Founder and Lead Practitioner Patricia Pezzano, RN, BSN, B.Sc (Biol), (NANS). In addition to having more than 20 years of experience teaching Botox training courses to healthcare professionals, Patricia Pezzano is also the woman behind the successful medical spa, APT Medical Aesthetics.
Our cosmetic injection courses for Calgary nurses consist of seven hours worth of hands-on injection training. This involves an actual demonstration and practical hands-on training of how to safely and effectively administer Botox and dermal filler injections focused on treatment areas in the upper and lower face. Each student will be provided with sufficient live patient models to practice on. There will be up to eight patients with different skin types and treatment concerns.
APT Injection Training offers cosmetic injection courses for Calgary nurses alongside other Botox training programs for the following medical professionals:
In addition to our cosmetic injection courses for Calgary nurses, APT Injection Training also has other training centred on facial rejuvenation such as:
This is a two-day training course intended for registered medical professionals. It combines critical theoretical university level pre-course learning, practical demonstration of procedures, and extensive hands-on training on live models. It is a stand-alone course that is the minimum required to begin practising toxin and dermal filler treatments. It can also be used as credit toward the more intensive, internationally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.
APT Injection Training is the only training centre in North America to offer authentic third-party certification in conjunction with our UK partner, MATA training and OTHM—an internationally recognized awarding body. This means that you can apply the experience you have gained in our courses toward a globally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.
The international certification involves completion of extensive, university-level pre-course work (representing 230 UK CME), three days of intensive training, completion of a logbook and short answer questions that are all independently assessed by OTHM, who then awards the certification. Other courses that “certify” are only to their standards, not in accordance with an independently developed and evaluated criteria.
APT Injection Training has been independently assessed, including our processes, training materials, and other related matters and are certified by a recognized independent organization. It is a valuable endorsement that promotes the level of expertise and quality that you can expect from our Botox training courses for Calgary nurses.
Learn an adjunctive way to administer dermal fillers on clients via the cannula technique. This one-day course training will go over similar topics in the Basic Filler Training Course, including pre-course reading material, employing the same 2:1 trainee: trainer ratio with approximately seven to eight live models. Still, the hands-on training will involve the use of cannulas predominately in addition to needles.
This is the next step after Foundation Basic Filler Injection and the Lower Face Cannula Training Program. It’s a 1-day training course that continues with cannula injections, focuses on more advanced treatment areas, such as the temples and tear troughs and introduces the use of Radiesse – a longer-lasting filler composed of calcium hydroxyapatite. It includes pre-course reading material, employs the same 2:1 trainee: trainer ratio with approximately 7-8 live models for hands-on injections. This is highly recommended for professionals with prior experience of injecting at least 50 patients before taking this course as the adverse events in the temples and tear troughs can be severe and permanent.
A comprehensive one-day hands-on training on live models and lecture, covering the latest types of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for lip enhancements. It involves the same comprehensive pre-course material as the other filler courses. This course delves into different lip injection protocols combining both cannula and needle techniques. The focus is on lip analysis and how to employ various techniques to achieve volume, definition, support and contour but, most importantly, to obtain natural-looking, proportional lips that clients will love.
This online training course is expertly written to support you with your theoretical learning on the safe and effective use of laser and intense light technology for cosmetic treatments, such as hair reduction and skin rejuvenation. Purchasing a laser machine is a significant investment that requires in-depth laser knowledge to make sure you make the correct purchase for your practice and client profile.
This course will help you do that by educating you on the core laser technology, so you understand the individual machine nuances as you use them in your business. The objective is to enable practitioners to succinctly assess the different laser machines on the market to help you choose the right tool for your practice.
It’s an intensive one-day training course for dentists seeking to add neurotoxin injection and lip filler services to their current scope of practice. It involves pre-course theoretical material (which covers both neurotoxin and dermal filler) that delves into anatomy, recognizing contraindications and potential risks, and the use of hyaluronidase for emergency interventions. The hands-on injection portion will include cosmetic toxin injections, TMJ injections, lips and lower face dermal filler indications. We employ the same, customized 2:1 trainee: trainer ratio in all of our APT courses to ensure maximum hands-on injection and confidence when leaving the course.
APT Injection Training is also the preferred training provider by the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (IAPAM). We are the only course to offer a Internal Certification in Injectable Therpaies. With our extensive and immersive courses, you can obtain the skills and certification you need to safely and effectively administer Botulinum Toxin A (Botox®) and Hyaluronic Acid for facial rejuvenation.
