Investing in an injection certification, such as Botox training in Canada, is a clever strategy that will advance your professional career by leaps and bounds.
Botox is one of the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedures today with over 6 million treatments administered every year around the world. This non-invasive injection treatment is offered commercially as Xeomin/Dysport/Nuceiva. Touted as the next best thing to a fountain of youth, Botox is primarily sought by clients for its anti-ageing and facial rejuvenating benefits.
Make your time, effort, and financial efforts worthwhile by signing up for the best Botox training course in the country—APT’s Foundation Toxin and Dermal Filler Training. Our injection certification programs are a cut above the rest and are guaranteed to provide you with an exhaustive body of theoretical and practical knowledge on all the latest Botox treatment techniques.
Our Botox Training Approach
Our Foundation Toxin Training here at APT is a one-day event specifically designed for medical practitioners who would like to add Botox in their repertoire of cosmetic treatment expertise to attract more clients or who wish to eventually take it to the next level by achieving a higher independent qualification from an internationally recognized International Certificate in the Principles and Practice of Clinical Injectable Therapies (Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers).
APT also gives participants the flexibility on how they wish to take injection training in Canada, depending on their schedule availability and personal learning capacity.
- First option: Learn all about toxin injection training with dermal filler training by taking the one-day Foundation Toxin and Dermal Filler Training course.
- Second option: Participants can split the training into two separate days. Take one-day toxin training and have the dermal filler training at a later date or vice versa.
Here are other reasons why ours is the best Botox training course there is in the industry.
1. Be Educated by the Experts
Learn only from the leaders in the world of cosmetic treatments. Our Toxin Training is led by APT Founder and Lead Practitioner Patricia Pezzano, BSc, BSc (NANS), RPN. Sharing her passion for facial rejuvenation, she not only maintains a full-service medical aesthetics practise but also actively trains aspiring practitioners.
With more than two decades of professional practice, she brings to the table valuable insights and expertly combines her impressive theory base with clinical expertise, her best-kept secrets in achieving the “perfect practice” in both toxin and dermal fillers.
2. Intimate Classes (Trainee/Trainer ratio of 2:1)
At APT, we have found that smaller classes deliver dramatic results when it comes to each participant’s learning development and overall experience. We strictly implement a maximum ratio of 2:1 trainee to trainer ratio in all of our injection training here in Canada.
The majority of our previous participants shared that they have gotten more out of this type of personalized approach. Here’s why.
- You have the instructor’s undivided attention: Participants feel more confident about asking more questions and raising specific concerns. In large group sizes, there are some individuals who will be hesitant to voice out their own ideas.
- You have more time for actual hands-on training: One of the biggest and most obvious disadvantages of attending other Botox training courses with bigger class sizes is that not all the attendees will have sufficient time to practice on a live model enough to feel competent to properly administer the injection in a real clinical setting.
- Instructors can personally keep track of each student’s progress: Typically, in bigger classes, the instructor won’t be able to accommodate all the questions from the class or more importantly, personally and closely observe each participant’s individual learning progress.
3. Hands-on Training
When you sign up for APT’s Foundation Toxin Training course, you will be provided beforehand with university-level pre-course materials that cover all the theoretical aspects of toxins and dermal fillers. The Botox training in Canada will begin with a lecture in the morning. Instructors give an overview of the following topics:
- ideal beauty concepts and facial features
- facial anatomy and muscle physiology
- the benefits and risks associated with Botox injections
The practical demonstration and actual hands-on training on live models will commence in the afternoon. This is a crucial component of the injection certification because it provides participants with a chance to witness how a toxin injection is administered safely and expertly by one of our trainers and eventually by themselves with step-by-step guidance from the instructor.
During the hands-on Botox training in Canada, facial injections in both the upper and lower face will be covered and include the following treatment sites:
- Down-turned mouth (depressor anguli oris)
- Eye jelly roll (hypertrophic orbicularis)
- Gummy smile (LLSAN)
- Mental crease / peau d’orange / chin dimpling (mentalis)
- Platysmal neck bands (platysma)
- Smoker’s lines of the mouth (orbicularis oris)
- Frown lines (glabellar complex)
- Forehead lines (horizontal)
- Crow’s feet (periorbital rhytids)
- Brow lift (medial & lateral brow depressors)
- Bunny lines of the nose (nasalis)

Our Training Courses
APT Injection Training has a wide selection of courses dedicated to facial rejuvenation. Aside from strictly Botox training in Canada, we also offer the following:
1. Foundation Toxin and Dermal Filler Certificate of Attendance
A 2-day training course intended for registered medical professionals. It combines critical theoretical pre-course learning, practical demonstration of procedures, and extensive hands-on training on live models. It is a stand-alone course that is the minimum required to begin practising toxin and dermal filler treatments. It can also be used as credit toward the more intensive, internationally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.
2. International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.
APT Injection Training is the only toxin training centre in North America to offer true third-party certification through our UK partner, MATA training and OTHM, an internationally recognized awarding body. OTHM, a globally recognized awarding organization, is regulated by the Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) and recognized by Qualifications Wales. This means that you are able to apply the experience you have gained in our courses toward an internationally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.
The international certification involves completion of extensive, university-level pre course work (representing 230 UK CME), 3 days of intensive training, completion of a logbook and short answer questions that are all independently assessed by OTHM who then awards the certification. This is a true certification. Other courses that “ certify” are really doing it only to their standards, not independently developed and assessed standards.
APT Injection Training has been independently assessed, including our processes, training materials, and other related matters and certified by a recognized independent organization. This is a valuable endorsement that promotes the level of expertise and quality that you can expect from our Botox Training in Canada course and its instructors.
3. Basic Lower Face Cannula Training–Hyaluronic Acid
Learn an alternative way to administer dermal fillers on clients via the cannula technique. This 1-day course training will go over similar topics in the Basic Filler Training Course, include the same pre-course reading material, employs the same 2:1 trainee: trainer ratio with approximately 7-8 live models but the hands-on training will involve the use of cannulas instead of needles.
4. Advanced Dermal Filler Training–Hyaluronic Acid & Radiesse
This is the next step after Foundation Basic Filler Injection and the Lower Face Cannula Training Program. It’s a 1-day training course that introduces cannula injections and focuses more on advanced treatment areas, such as the temples and tear troughs. It includes pre-course reading material, employs the same 2:1 trainee: trainer ratio with approximately 7-8 live models for hands-on injections. This is highly recommended for professionals with prior experience of injecting at least 50 patients before taking this course as the adverse events in the temples and tear troughs can be severe and permanent.
5. Lip Filler Training
A comprehensive 1-day hands-on training on live models and lecture covering the latest types of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for lip enhancement. It goes in-depth on dermal fillers (history, FDA approval, and mechanism of action), establishing client expectations, recognizing contraindications, potential risks including the use of hyaluronidase and emergency procedure. The focus is on different types of lip injections to achieve volume, definition, support and contour but most importantly to obtain natural-looking, proportional lips that clients will love.
6. The Laser Module Course
This online training course is expertly written to support you with your theoretical learning on the safe and effective use of laser and intense light technology for cosmetic treatments, such as hair reduction and skin rejuvenation. Purchasing a laser machine is a major investment that requires in-depth laser knowledge to make sure you make the correct purchase for your practice and client profile. This course will help you do that by educating you on the core laser technology, so you understand the individual machine nuances as they are trialled in your business. The objective is to enable practitioners to succinctly assess the different laser machines on the market to help you choose the right machine for your practice.
7. Dental Filler & Botox Training
An intensive 1-day training course for dentists who seek to add neurotoxin injection and lip filler services to their current scope of practice. It involves pre-course theoretical material covering both neurotoxin and dermal filler including anatomy, recognizing contraindications, potential risks, the use of hyaluronidase and emergency procedures. The hands-on injection portion will include cosmetic toxin injections, TMJ injections, lips and lower face dermal filler indications. We employ the same, customized 2:1 trainee: trainer ratio as in all of our APT courses to ensure maximum hands-on injection and confidence when leaving the course.
