It is designed for medical practitioners who want to add Botox injection to their skill set. Those seeking a higher qualification can pursue the International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies through our UK training partners.

APT offers flexible options for how you take your training. The Foundation Toxin and Dermal Filler Training can be taken two ways:

• First option: Complete toxin and dermal filler training in one intensive day.
• Second option: Split training over two days. Take toxin training first and dermal filler training later — or vice versa.

Hands-On Training

Before the course, you receive university-level pre-course materials on toxins and dermal fillers. The morning lecture covers:

By mid-morning, the practical demonstration and hands-on training begins. You watch our expert trainer administer injections on a live model. Then you practice yourself with step-by-step guidance. Treatment sites covered include:

Our Training Courses

Foundation Toxin and Dermal Filler Certificate of Attendance

This two-day course is for registered medical professionals. It combines theoretical pre-course learning, practical demonstrations, and hands-on training on live models. It is the minimum required to begin providing toxin and dermal filler treatments. It can also count toward the International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies.

International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies

APT is the only injection training centre in North America offering true third-party certification. We partner with MATA Training — a leading Medical and Aesthetics Academy in the UK — and OTHM — a globally recognized awarding body regulated by Ofqual and recognized by Qualifications Wales.

Your experience at APT can count toward an internationally recognized International Certificate in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies. The certification requires:

• University-level pre-course work (230 UK CME)
• Three days of intensive training
• A logbook and short answer questions independently assessed by OTHM

Other courses use only their own internal standards. APT has been independently assessed and certified by a recognized organization. This endorsement reflects the quality and expertise of our training.

Basic Lower Face Cannula Training – Hyaluronic Acid

The cannula technique is an alternative way to administer dermal fillers. It lets you apply appropriate pressure while avoiding veins, arteries, and nerves. This one-day course covers similar topics to the Basic Filler Training Course. It uses the same pre-course material and 2:1 ratio with 7-8 live models. Hands-on training uses cannulas instead of needles.

Advanced Dermal Filler Training – Hyaluronic Acid & Radiesse

This one-day course follows Foundation Basic Filler and Lower Face Cannula Training. It focuses on advanced areas like the temples and tear troughs using cannula injections. It uses the same 2:1 ratio with 7-8 live models.

We recommend having at least 50 patients injected before taking this course. Adverse effects in the temples and tear troughs can be severe and permanent.

Lip Filler Training

This comprehensive one-day course focuses on lip injections for volume, definition, support, and contour. The goal is natural-looking, proportional lips. The lecture covers hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, contraindications, risks, hyaluronidase use, and emergency procedures. Hands-on training on live models is included.

The Laser Module Course

This online course covers the safe use of laser and intense light technology for hair reduction and skin rejuvenation. Buying a laser machine is a major investment. This course educates you on core laser technology and individual machine nuances so you can choose the right equipment for your practice.

Dental Filler & Botox Training

This intensive one-day course is for dentists adding neurotoxin and lip filler services to their practice. Pre-course material covers anatomy, contraindications, risks, hyaluronidase use, and emergency procedures. Hands-on training includes cosmetic toxin injections, TMJ injections, and lower face dermal filler. We use the same 2:1 ratio as all APT courses.
